What to do
in Arizona
Some of our favorite things to do when we go to Arizona are playing golf, swimming, and hiking. We're going to tell you more of our favorite things, and where to do them all.
Kartchner Caverns

Benson, AZ (North of Tucson)
Looking for a fun day trip? (Depending where you are in Arizona, it may or may not be a day trip.) Kartchner Caverns are some caves two people discovered. There are 3 different rooms to tour, and we did the big room tour. It was awesome!

Tip: The caves are very humid, so don't be dressed for the cold, or you will be sweating.
Sorry, we don't have any pictures. Sadly, you can't take pictures in the caves. Happily, the website has a video.
Top Golf

Scottsdale, AZ
This is one of Fred's favorite places. There are 3 levels you can hit balls from. Your goal is to hit balls into targets, and there are games and activities you can choose to play. There are a lot of Top Golf locations (go to the website for more details). This is a fun trip to take at least once.
Pink Jeep Tours​

Sedona, Grand Canyon, AZ
On the pink jeep tour (it is literally a jeep that is pink), we rode up a mountain (these colors are confusing. The mountain was kind of red) and got out to take pictures. It was awesome. The tour was about 2-3 hours, but go to the website for more details on different tours and times.
Hot Air Balloon

Scottsdale, AZ
The hot air balloon experience was amazing. When we got there, we moved the balloon to a good spot, blew up the balloon, and then walked inside of the balloon. Yes, we literally walked inside a balloon. Then we got inside of the basket that was attached to the balloon and flew the balloon through the air. At the end we had a chance to eat something. One thing you should know is that we had to get up very early. This probably would not be a great idea for very little kids.
Hike
Hole in the Rock - Phoenix, AZ
Piestewa Peak - Phoenix, AZ
There are two different mountains we like to hike: The Hole in the Rock and Piestewa Peak in the Phoenix Mountains Preserve. These mountains both have really nice views from the top and are different levels of challenge. There are lots more mountains to hike, but these are our favorites.
McCormick Stillman Railroad Park

Scottsdale, AZ
This park is a hotspot for little kids. It has a merry-go-round, mini train (that you can ride), a playground, and more. We love this park, and we couldn't go to Arizona without a trip here (when we were younger. Now that we're older, we can survive without a trip every time).
